Now there's a big open question of alternative clients and blueprints. Okay, so there are some people who want to do a Rust client. I saw on Twitter there's some people that want to do TypeScript. That's great and fine, but the issue is what is the canonical Cardano. What is Cardano? Well, a major innovation that's occurring right now with the CIP1694 work, the Conway era that's being pushed out with sanchonet, is that we actually wrote the specifications for these not in a prose like LaTeX but actually in AGAD.

There's kind of like 6 major areas of concern for Sanchonet, and there's kind of a mad dash that all the developers are pushing towards to get Sanchonet to a level of functionality where people feel very comfortable playing around with it, breaking that functionality and it's rolling out a lot of new concepts. For example, this is the first release where we have an end to end active specification for all of the Ledger rules and the things that define what the Conway era is the Voltaire era is.

For example, with the Conway era, will be the very first era of Cardano to move to a full true formal specification with code extraction. So we actually have an active specification of the Voltaire Ledger logic, and we can extract from that Haskell code and compare it to the production system.

All right. Right over here. We have the release of Cardano node 8.0.0. It is a major release of the Cardona node that adds initial experimental support for the Conway Ledger era. Include some additional CLI commands, bug fixes, network configuration options, SPOs are recommended to deploy this version on all nodes.

This is a huge roll up, over 8 months of work went into Cardano node 8.0.0 For a variety of reasons, things kind of lived on different branches, and they eventually got all brought in after we did the SECP256k1 hard fork and this is the beginning of the Conway Ledger era, which means that when you look at CIP1694. It's going to be added into this family of nodes and then we can test it in pre prod.

So, this is the foundation upon which the Conway era can be pushed through. And this is where dReps are going to get registered. This is where the Constitutional Committee, all that other stuff will happen doesn't mean it goes into Cardano proper, because for that to happen, the Hard Fork has to occur, you guys have to vote on that.
